The site features a gentle slope that permitted a daylit basement to be incorporated into the design that allows natural northern light to flood the lower level and provide a greater connection to the landscape. Covered outdoor entertainment was a key aspect of the design to provide shelter from the Seattle weather while still being able to enjoy the breathtaking views.
